Erasing what is carved in Flesh
Takes decades if it happens at all
So much concealing,
So much conscious Effort
So much Reassurance,
Smoothing of tissue
******
Erasing what is carved in flesh
involves Rewiring,
painstakingly
Repetitive,
Tedious and Trying
So much tripping
Struggling
with Love & Belonging
******
Erasing what is carved in Flesh
Is for the Hearty,
Those who when Necessity
calls, see no Choice
But to be Who they Are,
Come what May
******
Brilliant
Don’t you just know it. Again, you’ve put your finger on it, Kiki.
This is great. Needed reminder.
Delighted I could be of assistance! 😉

Well, we wear our history on our skin like tattoos. Like cutting.
Don’t we though! Ouch! What an image…
That’s what I’m here for.
…”So much tripping, struggling with Love & Belonging.” – It takes a lot of courage to let go, Kiki. It’s letting our last breath out, at each moment, taking nothing with us, and just being who we are.
Thank you for being a carrier to this beautiful poem.
Merci a toi, Ignacio, merci a toi.
beautiful message mama! <3
Thank you my Heart
And how we have suffered in the process indeed! How many times have I tried and fallen flat on my face like the ugly duckling trying to fly?
Dear Andrea your honesty is humbling, thank you!
