For Adi
That moment
when out of Nowhere
you feel deeply Alone
you don’t know why
but you know
your life
has changed
never to be
what it was-
Never
the irrevocable
shift
into a New World
bringing
Responsibility
All At Once
a concept so unknown
so remote
so Massive
Fear Coated with Dread
*
and yet somewhere
Hidden
deep deep down
a miniscule seed
set Aglow
with Worth
Satisfaction
even Joy
in the budding
capacity
as Life Giver
Changes, transitions and we can never (!) go back to where we were before…
Nava
Yes indeed Nava, for better and for better? Thank you for that.
Sometimes I just cannot put my finger on why I suddenly feel overwhelmed by grief, helplessness and vulnerability, as if someone had just suddenly pushed me over the edge into a bottomless abyss. Yet your poems help me give it a name, and that nominalisation in turn helps me manage it and keep it at bay, at least for a while. Thank you, my dear Keren, your poem has such a cathartic quality and facilitates the healing x
Dear Andrea, your appreciation and your honesty are invaluable! I miss you!
What beauty you bring to that threshold moment indelibly etched in every woman’s memory. And what a vast range of emotions it evokes — some of which we aren’t even consciously aware of at the time, but feel today as we look back. Profoundly moving!
Thank you my Claire! Beautiful mother to women that you are!
Yes. Know it. Beautiful.
Thank you for sharing the Yarons art too.
Thank you Sharon! Good to read you here!
